In this work we share the experience of the course "Economics and Gender", proposed as an elective in the curriculum of the Department of Economics and Administration of the National University of Quilmes.
The dictation of this course is part of the crystallization in institutional and academic terms of the struggles of the women's and feminist movement in Argentina over the recent years.
We conceive it as a key subject to analyze economic relations in light of the gender perspective and incorporating the contributions of the Feminist Economics current, that seeks to make gender inequalities visible in the economic sphere. In turn, it is a subject that contributes to strengthening critical views and heterodox perspectives of the economy, whose contributions are found in different curricular proposals of the Department.
