Abstract

The tourism sector presents a plurality of sub-sectors that make it up and offers multiple job opportunities that become attractive for the analysis and creation of a proposal for a technical training program by competencies.In the development of the tourism sector in Colombia, the need for training for tourism performance is evident, given the conditions of openness and competitiveness generated by globalization and the internationalization of the economy, which demand specialized jobs and are offered thanks to the creation of Technical Labor Programs.

Es Administradora de Empresas Turísticas por la Institución Universitaria Colegio Mayor de Antioquia, Colombia. Especialista en Gerencia en Mercadeo por la Institución Universitaria Esumer. Magister en Gestión de Empresas y Destinos Turísticos de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (Argentina) y, en Administración de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Colombia). Directora de Mercadeo de varios hoteles tanto en la ciudad de Medellín como en el Suroeste de Antioquia-Colombia. Consultora de la Cámara de Comercio de Aburra Norte y docente en varias Instituciones y Universidades de Medellín como el Colegio Mayor de Antioquia, Universidad de San Buenaventura, Politécnico Jaime Isaza Cadavid y Cesde, donde actualmente se tiene el liderazgo de los programas Operación de Servicios Hoteleros y Operación de Eventos.
