Considerations about the relationship between environmental management and productivity in high-end hotels in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Abstract

This Article is the result of an investigation carried out during 2018, which raises the relationship between environmental management and the productivity of high-end hotels. This paper intends to provide information on the relationship between the improvement in productivity linked to the application of Environmental Management Models in 5-star hotels in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. For this purpose, the results of the measurement and comparison of a sample of the establishments that apply Environmental Management Guidelines regarding labels and surveys are presented. It is considered as a starting point the assumption that "the implementation of voluntary environmental management models, generate an increase in productivity in hotel establishments under analysis", on this assumption the results will be obtained to arrive at the conclusions.
