Abstract

This review examines literature and documentary sources regarding the potential impact of the so-called "Omnibus Law" (Bases and Starting Points Law for the Freedom of Argentines) on the Argentine tourism sector. Key tensions are identified in labor regulations, investment promotion, consumer protection, and administrative decentralization. Through a comparative analysis of legislative bills, reports from tourism chambers, and administrative law principles, we conclude that the lack of a tourism-specific approach may generate uncertainty and affect the competitiveness of tourism SMEs. Proposals for regulatory harmonization that respect the sector's specificity are outlined.
