Abstract

This article examines the networks of companies and science and technology (S&T) institutions involved in the development of biopharmaceutical products in Argentina. Based on a framework hypothesis suggesting that the dynamics adopted by local networks around processes of learning and technological innovation represent the spatial expression of the technological differentiation of capital within specific technological trajectories or paradigms, the study analyzes the networks around three leading business groups in the development of biosimilars in Argentina from the 1990s to the early 2020s, evaluating the dynamics of proximities in their various dimensions.
