Abstract

The purpose of this article is to make a description of the process of the National Education Law N°. 26.206/2006, sanctioned during the government of Néstor Kirchner (2003-2007), in relation to the importance that rural education assumed in it. To carry it out, an analysis will be carried out between the preceding Federal Education Law N°. 24.195/1993 and the National Education Law, taking into account in this last norm the parliamentary debates that shaped said educational law and that were materialized in a articles referring to the rural modality. This Law constituted one of the most significant events in Argentine educational policy, given that it was framed in a process of commitment of the national State in the implementation of public policies, oriented to development on the basis of social justice and equity.
