The following work presents a preliminary approach to the study and analysis of state planning exercises within the space/satellite industry in Argentina during the period 2004-2022. The objective is to identify research lines and discussions that contribute to a deeper understanding of this study and to rethink the role of large technological projects and programs in industrial development processes. It is concluded, in the first place, that both external dimensions (such as the country's geopolitical position or technological dependence on foreign companies) and internal dimensions of state planning (such as the lack of coordination among different areas of space policy or the absence of continuity in long-term plans) have affected the performance of these public actions. Secondly, it is argued as a hypothesis that both dimensions are co-determined, so it is important to integrate them into a synthetic analytical framework to develop theoretical tools that allow better industrial planning in the country.Downloads
