Abstract

This article sets out the bases of the ethical-normative framework that intervenes in the health care of women in general, and of Mapuce women, in particular. Subsequently, an approach is made to indigenous women, analyzing their specific situation, starting from critically considering the intersectoral confluence of different oppressive systems that articulate gender, class and ethnic relations. For this, the proposal will focus on the study of this problem from the Latin American feminist perspective, which will then be taken up and contrasted from the voice of women who self-identify as Mapuce. The objective of the article is focused on highlighting the multiple difficulties that indigenous women present in access to health, in order to justify the need to articulate public policies that promote the democratization of access to health, as a human right. To do this, we will carry out a theoretical-normative approach that highlights the ethical and political responsibilities of the State, as the guarantor of access to health for its citizens, particularly the most vulnerable, such as women from indigenous communities in our country.
