Dialogues between anthropology, social sciences and solidarity consumption
An analysis of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, Argentina

In the historical context of consumer societies, the dominant practices and meanings of consumption represent a problem that has been addressed by de social sciences from different perspectives, both descriptive and critical. However, other alternative modes of consumption have been scarcely studied. The general objective of this article is to make an approach to solidarity consumption, inquiring about its singularities and its similarities with respect to the so-called consumerist model. The theoretical approach to the object is carried out dialogue between different author of anthropology, other social sciences and specific bibliography on solidarity consumption. For an empirical approach, recent research results and journalistic notes on solidarity consumption are taken, and the speeches of de agents for de Social and Solidarity Economy who work on this issue in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, Argentina are analyzed.
