International Trade has always been the axis of controversy. The economic theory from its beginnings raises different ways about its functioning, which it has had moments of boom and reduction. The concept of globalization has always brought worshipers and retractors. Today, from the arrival of coronavirus, criticism about its form of development and expansion has emerged again.
The measures provided by both the United States and Europe, under the motto of health care, solvency, food and health, determine the acceleration of protectionist positions that allow thinking about a resurgence of certain ways of local production. So, will the production go back to being local?, of course not. Nowadays it is impossible to reverse everything done in the last 40 years. But technology, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence are going to model the production style for the next few years. So, although we are not facing deglobalization, we find ourselves in a more regionalized world economy organized into existing productive poles.
